Even though the weather was damp and dreary to say the least, a hoard of cars, trucks and even tractors showed up to participate in this first annual event.
The Army National Guard showed up with a load of cool weaponry, from battle rifles to a big Browning 50 cal. Machine gun!
Food supplied by the PYT roadside Café was good, hot and plentiful. A line of satisfied customers crowded the tent all day long.
Even the Hartford Police and Fire Department showed up to show off the latest hardware and technology. Many of the hot rodders took close and careful notes under the squad car's hood...
The Army National Guard also brought their big 10 wheel drive "Hemmet" to stomp the competition, if there was going to be any. No one offered to challenge the big 40 ton beast.
